About Grace Evangelical Church
We at Grace Evangelical Church want to strengthen and encourage you in your faith and in your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Please come and worship with us.
What to Expect
We seek to worship our Triune God - Father, Son, and Spirit, according to what he has commanded in His Word. The Psalms, Hymns, and Songs we sing are focused on exalting the Father, glorifying Christ, and thanking Him for His overwhelming mercy to us in the gospel. Our worship service includes time to pray, to give, and to learn and grow from the reading and preaching of God's Word.
As redeemed sinners, we need to be reminded of the gospel. One way we proclaim the gospel together is in our celebration of the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month, and on other occasions during the year. The Lord's Supper makes the gospel message visible and tangible to those who receive it by faith.
Our desire is that our worship service would minister to people of all ages. However, we provide both a nursery for very young children, and an area in the narthex for parents to sit with their children when needed. We also offer a 'Worshippers in Training' class (WIT) for children 5-8 years of age, whose parents feel their children would benefit from a class fitting their age. The WIT children are excused just prior to the sermon and return during the Lord's Supper, or at the end of our worship service.
The fellowship of believers is essential to expressing love and nurturing relationships both horizontally with one another, and vertically with our Creator. So, we encourage the body to spend time with one another after our worship service. Once a month this time includes either a fellowship meal or light refreshments.
Finally, the local church should fulfill its role in reaching out into our community, and beyond -- both practically and spiritually. We encourage our members to invest regular time into one another's lives and into the lives of unreached and unredeemed people in our community, and all over the world. Such is our expression of God's abundant love and grace flowing from hearts transformed by the gospel.
